Design
It feels lovely to type on this keyboard. Despite being smaller, the keyboard is highly secure and solid, which improves the typing experience. However, we are not a massive fan of 60% keyboards because our sore wrists make it difficult for us to type on smaller keyboards. When pressed, the Gateron Reds offer a pleasant acoustic that enhances the feel of the keystrokes. However, as both of us are used to tactile rather than linear switches, it took a lot of work to get used to typing with this type of switch. Lubricating every key would help the button operate even more smoothly.
Typing
The Anne Pro II keyboard is a compact 60% design that doesn’t feature a num pad, arrow keys, or F keys. However, you can access these keys by pressing multiple keys simultaneously to activate the lower layer. This keyboard has a sleek, white-coloured appearance with PBT plastic keycaps with a grease-free finish. While the keycaps are smooth and slippery, I prefer more texture. The Anne Pro II offers various lighting options that allow you to switch between different backlight colours, perfect for those who enjoy changing their keyboard’s appearance. However, configuring the different RGB backlight colours may be challenging since the instructions are translated from Chinese and can be difficult to understand.
